2008 VPP Survivor Wellness Challenge
PNNL's Voluntary Protection Program (VPP), AdvanceMed Hanford (AMH), and the Battelle Staff Association (BSA) kick-off a 12 week wellness program that ran from May to August. The 12 week program was a gradual, progressive program designed to encourage and promote a healthy lifestyle. The program consisted of four 3-week segments where staff had the opportunity to earn points through a variety of wellness activities. The program encouraged aerobic activity, water intake, fruit/vegetable servings, and stretching. Over 400 staff participated in the annual challenge.
There were four random prize drawings at the end of each segment for staff that met the minimum points. Partipants that completed the minimum points for each of the four segments were placed into a grand prize drawing.
Congratulations to the following grand prize winners:
- Garrett Brown ($1,000 REI gift card)
- Harrison Kerschner ($500 to a sporting goods store)
- Jennifer Henderson ($200 to a sporting goods store)
- Kim Lessor ($100 REI gift card)
